@(you need an account to see links) This seems okay to me, thanks for asking!
Despite the age, the thread as a whole still seems relevant and I'd like to see more people's input around the world!
Also, your photography tips are awesome, you should think about making a guide.

Shit, reading through this thread as me feeling all sorts of nostalgic and wanting to just Get Outside. I already mentioned the best of my tips. I used to tend towards big long multi-week stuff over dayhikes, so I'm not as in the know on that sort of thing, but I do want to get back at it and starting small is good. Oh, to live in a world free of covid woes.

I'm very glad this one was revived.
I live a few hours outside of the Canadian Rockies in the west.
If anyone ever heads out that way and wants to talk Neopets for a few hours on a hike, hit me up.
There are all sorts of great hikes with tons of hidden lakes.
One place I'd really like to go back to is Waterton Lakes National Park. I did two hikes (kind of on the same path) there last year for my Birthday. It's too bad though because the park was ravaged by forest fires just a few years ago, so most of the paths are closed down right now.
There was some very beautiful views on the small hikes I did.

Anybody have any recommendations that are near the Twin Cities area and nice in late Spring? Looking for something that might take 2-4 days and is relatively friendly on the knees.
