If it's a pet that has been around the PC for a while and you have a seemingly legit explanation why it ended up on your account, I'd say yes. What difference would it make to let it sit for a week?
make sure it is actually safe. if you personally have seen it advertised on the PC for a long time, no need to wait. just have a good backstory (for example, I traded _________ for it). i personally am selling a few PC-safe UCs that have been "on" the PC for a long time, and i'd prefer if whoever buys them claims that they traded some other UC for it so we both don't raise suspicion.
it helps if you ask the person you're buying from what the pet's trading history was, that way you can often just use that if someone asks.
but in my opinion if you obtain a UC illegitimately, its safest to NEVER advertise it yourself, just offer on other people's pets/lurk.
