    What's your studying technique?

    Finals week is here and I thought it would be interesting to know how other people remember the useless information that classes require you to know. I've found my best bet is to study last second and remembering that information for the short amount of time that the test occurs during, and then forget everything within a few hours afterwards. I have terrible short term memory which people find me to be not listening but I literally cant hold on to information long. Just happens to work out for finals.

    So share your brain mechanics.

    @dicedice

    I think it depends on the type of learner you are; Like visual, kinesthetic or a mix of learning types. My sister is kinesthetic, so she paces up and down while studying in order to remember. For me, i'm visual so I prefer to have diagrams and a book so I can read it, and i'm also auditory so I read the book out loud. I can remember so much stuff for my tests with this, so find out what type of learner you are and then google methods that work for you?

    because what might work for one, may or may not work for you! better to not waste as much time as possible and find out what learner you are, y'know? they have tests for it online, but I did mine in class c:

    Throughout the semester, I rely on the professor and office hour a lot. It's faster for me to directly ask them question, rather than to read the boring thick books. Plus, I often could tell what are the important things that the teachers are likely going to ask on the exam based on what they emphasize during their office hours.
    But when the final exam is just around the corner, I re-write notes, just because I remember better when I wrote them down.

    I'm not going to classes this semester because I'm about to move to Canada and I'll study there, but my whole life I just watch and record my classes and when I get home I do listen to it and make transcriptions! Usually what the teacher says is more important then what book says. And then in the weekend I study the same thing, but this time on a book

    Find a friend in the same class to study with. Take turns quizzing each other. I don't know if there's some unknown magic in teamwork or if I was just nervous to look like a damn fool in front of my friends, but it always helped me recall info. Or I'd make flashcards and quiz myself out loud, talk through concepts, etc. I probably looked like a lunatic, but it worked for meeeeeee!
