I'm sorry it's my first try at GFX.
I didn't really know where to start but I had some help from @katzes, luckily..
Please don't be too mean.

I'm no expert or anything, but honestly for your first one it's not too shabby. If it were me, I'd probably blur the background a bit or turn up the brightness of the person - just so he stands out some. The red of the parasol kind of gets lost in the red of the background, but really it's cool. I like the shattered effect. Good job!
Thanks so much @hayleyrenea !
I'm still not familiar with Photoshop CS5 controls but I'll look up some other tutorials and try to work my way around a bit more !
hmm Good job
I'm trying to learn how to use Photoshop CS6, it's kinda hard in the beginning, but I'm almost getting the hang of this. But you did a nice job (y)

I'd also move it up a little. For the background, I'd go to Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur and then set it to 1-2px.
@Dream at first I really didn't want the render to be in the extreme right but the render I picked doesn't show a part of the umbrella so I kinda had too (I shouldn't have picked that render at the first place but it was so priiiityyyy )
I'll look at the blur effect tomorrow though thanks so much for tipping me! I'm basically sleeping on my keyboard at the moment lol.
Everyone must start somewhere @Maths! <3

I think it looks absolutely wonderful for your first, @Maths! <3
I would suggest blurring the backgroudn too, or something, like they already said. c:
If you ever need help with Photoshop or shortcuts/controls or anything, I can help, also! <3
I know it's stupid confusing when you've never touched it.

This definitely makes me want to get to know all the perks better!
I think it's really good for a first timer! (But I'm definitely no expert $
*the background looks a bit messy though
