I am frustrated with the neocash mall

They DO rerelease items, and they put them in Mystery Capsules. The gacha thing you mentioned is literally already on the site - Mystery Capsules have gacha in the url of some of their images.

I can't express how much I loathe gacha and games that use gacha. Every game that relies on you spending real life money on a random chance to get the thing you want deserves to crash and burn and fail miserably. If I wanted to pay for a game, I would want to pay 60 dollars up front and expect to be able to unlock everything through hard work. I don't like the NC Mall for the exact opposite reasons you do. They DO put everything back in the mall... eventually. You have to wait for a rerelease Mystery Capsule to maybe get that random chance of the rare retired item (which tanks the values, so it sucks if you just paid 200 dollars in caps to trade for that coveted item you always wanted the day before!). But you can never get a Mystery Capsule through hard work on the site, you have to pay real money. It's garbage, it's predatory business, but people keep buying them because they want that sparkly blue dress for their fake animal.

The stupid flash games that require NC as well as dyeworks shit is also unacceptable, predatory, random, but gives people that sense of urgency that "I need it NOW before its GONE" and keeps getting people to spend a little more money to make sure they get it.

The fact of the matter is, the NC Mall IS profitable, and probably the only thing keeping Neopets alive right now.

But that is why i said they should just put everything they made in the mall UPFRONT, so people could buy whatever they want. and release event exclusive stuff. theres just so few always available in the mall at any given time, and way too much missing from the past.

That's the thing though: if everything was always in the NC Mall, there would be no sense of urgency to buy caps to make sure you get every rare item out of it. Putting it in cycles like this makes people go "oh, shit, I need the Spring Collectable Sparkle Dress for my Kyrii! It's only around for two weeks! I better spend as much money as I can to get it!" instead of just buying it outright. Buying 10 Mystery Capsules nets a lot more money than just buying the dress from the store.

They put exclusive items in caps as well as "bonus" items that may or may not ever be rereleased making people try even harder to get the items. The fact NC Trading is allowed on-site means that people will spend even more money buying caps to trade for an item everyone decided was worth a lot. Everything you listed being annoying to you is actually getting them a lot of money.

My only true gripe with NC isnt the mall. Its the fact that I can�t send items freely between my own accounts.

I'm the same - if I want something that is on my main for a side account I have to trade for another - or spend more on GB caps to try and trade for it (which is probably the reason why JS haven't ever allowed us to do it! )

You've hit the nail on the head. Everything they do is oriented towards profit maximisation . Though with trudy's you get atleast a couple of gift boxes a month so that helps .

Yeah, I think Trudy's has helped me immensely since I don't actually do much NC trading if ever. So nice for when I do want to move things around my accounts.

My main annoyance with the mall is that I don't like gacha style games, ever, and nothing you can buy outright is ever as good as a random-chance item. It feels pretty exploitative, but is probably the only thing keeping the site up at this point
