Yes the capybaras can be kept as pets but they need a whole pool to swim in because they love water (they even have webbed feet)

A dream of mine as long as I can remember has been to have like 50 guinea pigs and one capybara so it can be the momma pig

they don't wheek like guinea pigs do but they make some cool sounds

Ugh I randomly clicked through this thread and wanted to add I love capybaras too. Work has been so stressful lately, I've been watching all the capybara videos during breaks. They are so chill it's soothing lol. If they were less demanding as pets I'd have one.
