Neopets new TCG

I wonder if it's a new game, or they're just rebooting/reprinting the originals.

Ah, that's pretty exciting news on the merch side of things since I know people have been asking for TCGs to make a return for a while (and not in the shitty fucking weird gacha digital TCG attempt they had last time - which hopefully isn't the case again this time). Fingers crossed it is actually a worthwhile investment for their funds and pays off with a good quality product. If they release new cards with art the level of the tarot deck I'm sure they'd be a hit. :o

I definitely don't expect a fully playable TCG but collectible cards at the very least, I suppose.

I loved playing the old TCG I still have my mats and decks from it.

I went into a manic spiral of buying Pokemon cards when I was unemployed and was so sad to find out Neopets had TCG cards and I missed out. I'm excited for this! I will definitely be buying some packs.

Omg, thank you for posting this, I had no idea! I'm beyond excited. As someone who used to collect them as a kid (and lost them... rip) I will definitely be buying these! I can't wait to see what they look like! This is so hype ahhhh

to answer most of you, seems theyre going to have a "collection" upon rereading the neomerch seems they want to dedicate turning this into memorable stories and moments. we can only hope they make it playable. Most likely i think theyll do some nostalgia like the previous tcg/ most tcg youll get cards plus an online code card for redemption. its too early to tell.

from what i gathered from their main (you need an account to see links) SDCC invite looks to be theyll have an Upperdeck booth. and you can get promotional cards. So whomever is in this area please grab some and show us lol.

as far as confirmation physical- upperdeck is the company for the physical cards. so hopefully they do like a typical tcg which is around 9-12 cards and one digital redemption

i am super excited to get into collecting these new sets. heres to a new future with neopia! What are your thoughts? do you guys collect any too? i wanted to get the older sets but cost is out of my hands with that.

i'm guessing it will be an all new set? Some ebay sellers will be feeling gloomy if they rerelease old ones.... but I'm also not sure lost desert TCG would make sense without the lost desert plot, etc.

I have boxes of cards of the old TCG sets and this seems like exciting news to me! Hope there's physical cards in it as well so I can start to plan on buying cases.
