Neopets Mobile Closed Beta

With mobile/html5 etc, a whole site relaunch would be inevitable (from my current understanding). You can develop the mobile version at the same time as the desktop version with some programs if I remember correctly.

IMO Neopets is like a console game, and the console is the PC. I do things on the go, but they're things I know I can do on the go...

There are a lot of people who have put SO MUCH hard work into premade code sites.

I can't give any honest feedback about the beta site yet because the only thing I use from it so far is healing springs to hoard sticky snowballs lol. And customization but that's still glitchy so I switch back out of beta to use it.
My day to day on neo consists of dailies, the neoboards, and working on my pets pages/lookups be it coding/art/ect. so I'm holding out hope these features are kept in the new launch/functioning still or RIP to me and Neo.

I just read the Q & A on jellyneo and saw this...didn't think it would be the whole layout design hmmmm I wasn't too fussy on mobile as I much prefer to use desktop for the things I do on neo and agree that the new design looks look super childish (c'mon tnt think about your major demographic atm and not only who you want to target)

If allowing custom coding is no longer a thing, that will be devastating. Imo that element of the site (even if there are so many filters that make coding annoying) is such a big part of neo....
So many people love to customise their petlookups, make petpages for their characters....and more especially all those guides people have made out there (dailies, game guides, coding guides etc)

i don't care how it looks and how buggy it is, i can't wait for an official release date. i want to ditch the annoying flash player and i want to be able to play neopets on the go

Am I one of few that doesn't have problems playing neo on the go as it is?

I can do all my dailies minus the wheels.
I can train and zap my pet.
I can buy from shops both user and site shops no problem.
I can reply and send out messages.
I can create new boards...
Its tedious but I can even code my petpages/descriptions and user lookup.
I can even do all my daily battles in the Battledome.

The only things I can't do:
Wheels
Most of the Maps(Explore)
Games
Customize my pets (I dont do hardly ever forgot about this)

.... am I missing something in thinking no one can currently play on mobile?

as for keeping the current live site as an option for players, i'm afraid that won't be possible when flash is discontinued. this is why we are currently in the process of converting everything to html5.

t is intended for this new beta to replace the existing live site once all features have been completed, so this will be the layout for both desktop and mobile. the site will be fully playable when we go live, but it'll be a ways before we get there since there is so much to convert.

Soooo basically the current site layout will be gone? Is this 2007 again? Am I allowed to panic?

EDIT: And if the entire site is revamped, maybe that'll mean a lot of bots and scripts will stop functioning?

I agree. I do all of this on my phone.

Neo has always been a desktop/laptop/computer in front of you game. Playing Neo on my phone has never bothered me. My preference has always been playing on my laptop. I mean I get why they did it but.......

Okay, I finally have access... it's not horrible, just different. It looks great on mobile, though.

Although what is horrible is the amount of people whining on the beta board. Some days I really feel for TNT.
