I don't know if I can support JS anymore...I just thought with them managing neopets, they would bring a fresh sense of management, and bring something that was lost long ago, the thing that viacom took from neopets. Now, I don't believe in that anymore; this just feels too much like viacom 2.0...and it's going to kill the site.

I really feel that. I've been giving JS the benefit of the doubt. I mean, Viacom left them with a mess & I figured things would get a little messier before they could get better. This is just... I've lost respect for the JS team. If things don't start shaping up by the time my premium runs out, I'm not renewing it. I'm not buying NC. I literally didn't give a damn and neither did the artist until they were all "nah it was a coincidence nothing to see here folks".
If they just ignored it or took it down or something, it would have been fine. But to come on and blatently lie about it is not good.
I mean honestly what I figure is the new JS team doesn't know EXACTLY what art is official or not and probably found that somewhere in a folder or on a petpage and thought it was legit, because it looks pretty legit.
But don't lie once it happens bro.

I know everybody's sayin "but it wasn't on the site!" but it clearly was. Openneo posted on Tumblr about using their art in the past - and the actual page mentions using the art for guilds and just crediting the artist.
It's safe to say that at least SOME of her art has made it on-site and it's potentially possible that someone used the Korbat image without properly crediting the original artist. With that in mind, they could probably use that as some form of plausible deniability if they were acted against, but they'd at least (hopefully) have to remove the new item.
HAAAVING said that, to then go into the forum and blatantly deny it is disgusting. It was already iffy and definitely not an admiral act... but to then just lie to us. Blargh.
The whole situation is not cool. I mean, the ToS says they can reproduce, alter or use things put on the site in any way they please... but to not even credit the person they *think* is the owner? I'm real turned off.

Originally I didn't care about this whole situation. I admit that I didnt even care where the image came from or who did it, as I haven't even seen the item in question.
But after surfing the PC and seeing a bit discussion about it, and seeing JS say "Oh, guys. Um...it was just a coincidence!? Yeah, that's it." I was really disappointed that they would even do that.
They got caught, they lied, they know they lied, but they're still trying to put up a front about it. What BS are they trying to do?
They need to get their act together. Or at least bring some of the older staff back. I mean, look at how bad the sites been lately (and I use that term VERY lightly).

Lolol Soooo many people getting their BC entries rejected because their independently created art is upsetting tnt. The similarities are purely coincidence, though. No reason for all these entries to be rejected.
I'm really shocked that they're being so juvenile.. it stings. What a joke this site has become.. but when has the staff ever been mature... not possible on a virtual pet site, I guess?
Except other pet sites don't have immature staff so idk where JS, Viacom, or Adam and Whoever got their people. Neopets Staff has always been awful.. I guess we can never hope for better.
