[Guide] How to unlock and care for a Ryugotchi + Ryu Master List (inc. non-actives)

Went through the lists again and received an enormous amount of Paints and Scenes!
Most of the Ryu's I tended were at 3+ hearts. From 4 Paints and 8 Scenes to 14 additional Paints and 8 additional Scenes.
Honestly didn't expect to see all these new paints and scenes for myself! ^^
Hope anyone else who goes through the master lists receive some paints and scenes as well!

When you went through the lists and tended the Ryu, did you mostly do feeding, or a combination of feeding & playing?
I'm trying to figure out whether both interactions are likely to award paints/scenes or if its mostly just tied to feeding.

It was a combination of both feeding and playing. I personally tend to prioritize playing over feeding.

This also happened to me!
I can't say exactly when it happened. I was tending to Ryus on the last couple of days of Feb, trying to get the exclusive paints. No luck there sadly, but one day I randomly logged in to having almost all the scenes and paints unlocked?

Was this perhaps a bug @(you need an account to see links)? Would you be able to tell us how many people qualified for the exclusive Valentine's stuff?

The bug would have been with the original behavior and not how the code is working currently. The majority of conditions for unlocking paints and scenes is tied to Ryugotchi interaction, and while you could accumulate enough interactions to qualify, there was an oversight in the code that required you to specifically be taking care of your own Ryugotchi during the window that the code is rolling for unlockables in order to actually give you a chance to unlock something. That was a mistake. It doesn't make sense to count your cumulative interactions with all Ryugotchis in the community as a condition leading up to the unlock window, and then only allow you to roll for an unlock once you're specifically interacting with your own Ryugotchi. It's a little too easy now, so I've made some additional adjustments since the discussion initially came up, but it was never meant to be that convoluted either.

Just to verify are you meaning that in order to unlock paint/background you have to interact with others plus your own to get new things and not just your own? 🤔

You can now unlock paints and scenes once you've entered the unlock window during any interaction, even when the Ryugotchi you're interacting with isn't your own. This was the way the code was always intended to work, but the condition was nested in a way that only allowed it to work when you interacted with your own Ryugotchi.

Oh gosh I guess I just been unlucky then in that unlock window lol I didn't get anything new all of February which sucks I loved that swan bg exclusive. Hopefully next year I can!

Due to the aforementioned programming oversight, the paints and scene that were exclusive to February have been made available throughout the month of March this year. They will go back to being February exclusives next year.
