The news source linked is incredibly shady. if you check their news section, its page after page of bullshit. lts a pr/fake news generating shell corp?
their twitter has 50k followers and their posts get no engagements.
i would put very little merit into this. theres no direct connection, and all these random shady companies involved point to a scam.
That said. one of the companies listed as a partner running the NFT program itself is owned by NetDragon, who owns Jumpstart. So this may be where we're heading anyway

Despite the hate I think its cool to see small company find neopets interesting and would like to help innovate.
Neopets probably don't need to pay anything rather profit sharing from the meta company.
NFT is super hyped now and people would just buy whatever and maybe that would mean more publicity.
