A belated hello

Hi clraik! I’ve been lurking and participating in the wonderful trading community here for a couple of months and I figured, what the heck, I should introduce myself properly. I’m Nor and I started playing Neo around 2004 or 2005 (RIP my hacked and frozen first account). But as a kid I was super shy (obligatory “I still am but I used to be too”), terrified to venture onto the Neoboards, AND uhhh not very Google-savvy, so I played Neo in total isolation with literally no idea that there were guides, fansites, external communities, anything. Which meant that I was never very Neo-successful lmao ☠️ Mostly I was around for the games, the cute graphics, and the sense of wonder. Which is what I was trying to recapture when I got sucked back in in 2019 after about 10 years of inactivity. I fell in love with customization, finally beat Faerie Bubbles, found clraik among other fansites, and started playing Food Club. A real glow-up.

Apart from Neopets my main hobbies are music and baking. I play the piano (pretty well) and concertina (amateurishly) - my username was taken at a whim from (you need an account to see links) because I didn’t think I’d be doing anything more than lurking... I guess it doesn’t exactly roll of the tongue but oh well 😂 Looking forward to meeting you all!

@(you need an account to see links) It's been a long time since I've played/listened to a lot of classical music or any instrumental piano (nowadays I mostly play covers of popular music and do some of my own noodling around) but Bach is definitely my all-time favourite, followed by some of the big romantics (Chopin, Brahms) and I do also love some of Debussy's stuff. We had a baking event here as well. Much fun! It's on HBO Max, but have you seen the Rosanna Pansino "Baketopia" show? It's cute. She's a youtuber, and has some fun videos there which won't require a subscription or access from a purchase of something else.

That's a great suggestion! I've seen Rosanna Pansino on a couple of other youtubers' videos and she's adorable so I'll definitely check it out!

As a kid I was also an isolated player, since my English was very bad at the time. It's nice to come back and finally achieve some success!
