The Caption Contest has returned!

I'd like to see them scrap off the username of the submission to make the voting fair and not based on a popularity contest.

I think they should remove the UN and the number of votes that the caption has received.

Too bad they no longer support the game in other languages, that was my only hope at getting into the 100th contest. Kinda bummed that they'll be giving out a new avatar for the next 100th round, another retired avatar I won't be able to get from this round.

If they removed usernames, people could still say who they were on the boards. "Hey, guys, vote for the joke about the bruce's glasses!" or whatever.



@(you need an account to see links) The avatar is the same for every 100th round. (Actually, Scrappy is thinking of making it once a year. If it stayed every 100, it'd be once every 8 years.) They're planning on releasing a new avatar for EVERY round. So it will be more like the NT. An avatar you can get just by getting in and a special avatar (the old one) you can get for special rounds.

Agreed, removing UN would just make it harder to get votes since they'd have to advertise/describe their entry rather than pinpointing it by a username. I find it unsettling that some of the ones getting the most votes aren't even the best ones out there.

If the avatar is going to be awarded every round, that's good enough for me then.

Seems like they will slowly release more.

I understand being swamped with submissions but they really should just do the contest the same way as they did before.
