Yes, I did that exactly. The dollar sign was the first character of my password for my side.

I might be having the same kind of problem.

I recently used a "&" in my password, and now it keeps telling me the password is wrong (although I know it's right) >.> but I can't reset it via e-mail, since I don't have access to the e-mail. Sigh.
But I don't know if that's actually the reason, or if it might be completely unrelated.

I actually thought about it when I saw your thread, that's what made me think of this issue. Sorry about your account I've never had ampersand problems, if that helps any!

I've used a $ sign in my password for years without problems. Is this a recent problem/glitch?

Edit: In fact, I'm pretty sure I've used all these special characters at some point without ever encountering this glitch.

I've used plenty of the approved characters as well -- as highlighted by my OP, I'm talking about specific issues with the $ only. Don't know how recent, but I've had the problem for the past couple of years, off and on.

Did you use a $ followed by numbers?

One thing I noticed on the boards is that when you type in the dollar sign followed by numbers like... say $30 or something similar, it disappears. The sign and the numbers.
It could be related.

I don't have numbers directly following the dollar sign but I do have numbers in the password itself. And i agree, you might be onto something regarding the disappearing dollar sign symbol when trying to type something like "$40" on the neoboards.

I have never tried a $ but I have been locked out with a % My trouble is that I have AOL and Neopets cant seem to send anything to AOL. So Im sitting on a ticket now.
