Random: Anyone here know how to unveil tumblr anons?
I have a hunch of who is harassing the heck out of me on my dumb blog and I just want to know for certain, so I can rub it in their face like the 5 year old I am. If it is who I think it is this is just to spite them in a worthless 3 year rivalry I let myself get wrapped up in. Petty I know, but my curiosity is killing me and I've wanted dirt on her for yeaaaaaaaars.
I tried to fix my coding to feature that "Know Anon" code but it seems to be blocked, and I think I remember someone mentioning you could add a fake anon button to essentially trick people but I can't find a tutorial for that. I have most of their messages still in my inbox... is there any way to search it via those? The old "inspect element" method for chrome isn't working since the last tumblr update.
If anyone has any tips I'd love it!
PS yaaaa I know it's tumblr what else can I expect but she keeps cramming the inbox of my dragon age themed account with her grossness and I want it to stop

I can make you a image that will log anyone's ip address who views it and the time they view it at... So if they post at 12:30 and the last person to see your image was at 12:28 its probably them.... From there u can look up the ip and see where they are located if that will help at all.

@(you need an account to see links) That used to work and it was so easy, but with the most recent update it no longer shows the IP address it's just listed as "blocked" but thank you very much!!

That would be amazing actually you would need to explain how to set it up though I have very little understanding of coding and that sort of thing but I would super appreciate it and would totally pay you for being an amazing help!

u could install a fake anon button (you need an account to see links)
theres a few setbacks to it, such as if theyre sending from the tumblr app, in which case it wont work, but who knows!
alternatively, install statcounter and track people who visit your /ask page. this wont work if theyre on the app again though.
and finally if its making you really uncomfortable you can always just... turn off anon.
ive dealt w saddos sending tumblr hate before too, its pretty tiring lol

@(you need an account to see links) thank you for all the options!! I don't want to turn off anon, none of it is actually hurting my feelings. I just want to know if it's the chick I think it is. It's mostly just annoying.... and just won't stop like who has the time to send 4 paragraph long messages as to why i am an asshole

How about you just turn off the anon function? It's the Internet, who cares? If they give you hate, press "delete" and move on.
