How to get more pet slots?

Quick question.

JN says that we now start with 6, premium gets another 4, and you can buy /something/ from the NC mall to get up to an additional 10 slots.

What is the thing you have to buy in order to get those 10 extra pet slots and do you have to buy 10 of them or does 1 get you the extra 10 slots?

they appear on random pages in the NC Mall but you can search "pet slot" too. There is a +10 slot version but if you have more slots that would put you OVER the limit, you won't be allowed to buy the 10 slot item at all and can only buy lesser increments to make up the difference. Also the pet slots are IMMEDIATELY activated on the account they are purchased on upon buying, you cannot trade/gift these pet slots like regular items.

I had never seen those NC items before, but that is interesting. Awfully costly to add another 10 pet slots. That's what, roughly $50 for the 10 extra slots? Sheesh. I was trying to make plans to move a bunch of pets around, but don't know if it's worth all that haha

@(you need an account to see links) yup they are decently pricey :/ sometimes (like, once or maybe twice since release, historically) they had them on sale but it's been a really long time since they were last discounted. so it could be worth waiting if you're not in a rush but also, who knows when they'll ever do it again. maybe black friday would be the next logical opportunity to pray for.

Realistically I was hoping to use maybe one or two accounts to store a bunch of pets, but that was just for my own ease of use. I think they have priced out my idea of going that route with those prices though. Makes more sense to just use multiple accounts and add another one into the mix if I run out of room in certain spots.
I'll keep an eye out for that sale from my main account(s) though as that could use useful long term for sure.

I can see why they price it that way because there are plenty of people who have bought it based off of what I've seen.

It would be so much more convenient if they were to make it so that you're able to link your sides and move pets around between them - but then they couldn't sell the extra pet slots.
Not quite play to win there, but definitely an easy money maker.

honestly I SWEAR when these were in dev/released TNT mentioned they had plans to make them giftable/tradeable items and I've seriously sent in so many editorial questions asking if this was still on the road map at all and lo, they've never answered it so :') I encourage other people to send in editorials begging for the same thing, be the change you want to be and all that 😂
