Who or what about Neopets do you like or appreciate?

I really appreciate @(you need an account to see links). Last year I traded for some really awesome pets from them that I love a lot. They're a good person and someone you can trade with safely, without ever worrying about a reversal happening or some other BS. In this day and age, you can't put a value on that. Thank you, Ember! I love that the Neoboards are their own weird little pocket universes within the overall larger Neopetsverse. It's like you're a citizen of some independent city-state when you're a regular user at one subforum over another. Yesterday a high profile BDer came to the PC and it was like an ambassadorial visit. And god knows the Newbie Chat is its own sort of strange unsavory wasteland.

there was a dude from the BDC on the PC last night asking about values and stuff and giving really insightful & patient replies about his experience with the battledome, training, how to even out stats, etc.

it was a super fun read and the dude was chill af. i enjoy people who take the game seriously in a way that isn't nuts and appreciate that there are people like this who don't gatekeep info that everyone has the means, but not necessarily the ability, to understand.

There have been a lot of nice things happening on the PC in the last few days… even with the reversals there have been a lot of cute things like the birthday party for the one user’s pet! I love stuff like that, it’s so fun and goofy, it reminds me of Neo when I was a teenager.

I love that everyone is mostly so friendly. You can join a guild and just become part of a little community. I also love that I can just escape into a casual little world for a while and I'm not forced to log in every single day like most other games nowadays.
