Nawh man, it would not. We're frikking demonized on there lol. They believe we're all heartless scammers who steal active accounts and pets etc. and that we hack Neo (guess it's fine when NT does), and when we cheat they think we keep honest players from ever getting or winning something, and that we ruin Neopets (when in truth they themselves do by reporting every single pet lmao). People would just downvote Joe until a mod would delete his story and ban his account.

This is literally the exact way I would see that playing out as well.

I'm not really into this whole drama, nor do I know any of these people. I guess I'm just not sure who Steve/Diceroll is? The person in charge of the reddit community?

Funnily enough, both of them are named Steve. And yes, Diceroll/sLAUGHTER/mOBSCENE contributed quite a lot to the cheating scene as well. Weird to see them transition into their current role and siding with a lot of the questionable views from that community...

He made a very famous score sender a while back. In fact I'm pretty sure codex was still using it until they pulled their program manager because they don't really update their programs anymore. I agree with Joe it's really really weird to see the position he's taken now with the role he used to have in the community.

Huh, wow that is weird. I don't think people in the Neocord know about this at all. I wonder if he's truly anti-cheating then or just kinda pretending. He doesn't share what account he plays Neopets on either.

How did it not even occur to me what his account on neo might be? For some reason I pictured him as a scored player whose main got frozen and doesn't actually play anymore lol

I definitely think it's interesting that he is unwilling to share the account he plays on, especially as such a prominent figure in the Neocord community. Although, I can see why someone might not want to disclose that in case of users being upset over his modding.

Few people on Neocord seem to know about his cheating past. Although he has seemingly more integrity now, I wonder if he is truly the player with integrity that he paints himself to be. He said he told TNT about a potential map exploit, which they patched. So it's definitely possible he is clean now.

To be fair, I am not discounting that people can change and retire. I just think that the temptation might be hard to resist when TNT seems to do very little compared to in the past.

Let's not derail the main topic of discussion here, but it's a sad reality that Dice/sLAUGHTER did not take the opportunity to bridge the gap between our communities, instead fuelling the ancient mindset that TNT first displayed in the game that our playing style and "cheating" makes someone such a terrible person. We've been doing scripts way before the reddit community, and now they have their own (NT has stated this is cheating recently)...

Would neocord treat me the same if I decided to leave this community and create a subreddit where I am anti-cheating but share questionable scripts? Let that sink in.

With that said, I will say our community is full of genuine and kind people who don't deserve the way neocord looks at us. We have a fair amount of members that don't even cheat, and simply want to be apart of the community for the social aspect.

Oh please, the neocord people have banned others for fighting and calling out a user that linked their twitter on neopetsdotcom, and there you could see the person fetichized rape, incest and minor characters all at the same time. All because they "don't approve of witchhunt".

Are you guys really surprised/let down that a higher up from reddit wouldn't take action about this despite their past and their knowledge of that person's past?
Keep a community all comfy even if it's hypocrisy, and kiss ass if you can, do anything to win neopet's side (I mean they were even giving news on the neocord before being officially given onsite)
Come on, people that build that kind of community in which they claim this shit is witchhunt but harrass people that come here (because yes, they claim they don't witch hunt but they come stalk us to see how they can report us, even if you are just coming to vent at the under your skin thread or anything, they've even banned others for """"sounding/talking like cheaters"""" with no proof)

Can someone refresh my memory? I think I'm mistaken but neotruths worked for yesxxx and eventually had a fallout with that site? if he did then this by its mere self proves the blatant hypocrisy of letting someone that was doing it for a job of some kind stay on the reddit

This person's existence is too much drama. Vigilante trying to do some form of justice but having unintended consequences of stirring up problems. Much less trust among players on the game site itself. I just want to cheat in piece on a small scale if that's too much to ask for. I do appreciate this community as it's for its lifetime been good at being respectful and dealing with those that cause problems. This is also why I'm not drawn to post on reddit due to how people there are toxic a lot.
