Just curious, is there any specific dishes / drinks that you guys eat / drink on this day?
I've read about fireworks in other threads, sounds fun!
Sadly, lighting fireworks is banned here.
No fireworks for me, they're hella expensive and just disruptive to the wildlife around me so I don't really partake in them usually. But I did eat some hot dogs and had some fun today anyway. I think most people probably do hot dogs or burgers (or vegan options) for 4th of july. I'd love to know if people do anything different though.

Okay I'm going to blow your mind further. Not only is it an Italian series, BUT. It literally has an amusement park in italy. There is literally a winx club amusement park.

I've always heard of people doing barbeque, so mostly burgers and hot dogs, but also whatever else people can throw on a grill. It's been so long since I've actually done anything like that to celebrate, that the last time I did (read: delivery veggie burger) I started to doubt if it was actually the right thing.

You can do veggie burgers pretty good on the grill. I'm not a vegan but I do like a good veggie burger and other vegan meals as well. If you don't like the prepackaged frozen ones there's a lot of options to make them up yourself, which can be pretty good too because you can go nuts putting in fillers you like. Personally I recommend black beans in them, but I'm nuts for beans so I'm probably bias.

tbh frozen veggie burger patties are one of my go-to meals when I'm not up for much but I'm up for something, if that makes sense. I love a good home-mode veggie burger and agree black beans are prime for them! My stomach is a bit sensitive today, but now I kind of want to see if I can find a nice one to order!

(not me talking about ordering delivery when I have uncooked mealkit meals sitting in my fridge)

This is some of the best news I've ever gotten! I didn't know it was popular enough to warrant an amusement park. One of my long term goals now is to visit this park some day.

I also really love that almost EVERYTIME you've responded to me you've gotten a popsicle!

I'm hoping this quote will magically give me another one LOL

I was shocked when I found out about it. I thought it was just some obscure 4kids thing, but no. I ended up down a whole rabbit hole about how there's an amusement park, the condition the amusement park is in, and if it's even viable to continue to exist. It's insane how many things we don't realize just because they're in different countries.

They used to be mine too until things got way too expensive and that's one of the ones that shot up in price for me that I usually get. I am experimenting with making my own, so far the texture is so god awfuly bad that it's not going well. I have had them hand made from a local place though, so I know it can be done well. I just haven't unlocked the secret to better veggie burgers just yet.

I've never tried to make my own before, but made to order ones at restaurants and stuff are the best. I might look into some recipes and see if I can find any that seem easy enough to try. I'm trying to ease myself back into cooking because I've been spending way too much on food lately.

I get what you mean, I did cook before just not very often because it's easier to just get premade stuff but holy hell the prices... No thanks. I went back to just cooking I can't afford to be doing that, it used to be cheaper to just do the prepackaged stuff too.
