It's Summertime!

It's finally summer time!
(at least for those of us in the northern hemisphere!)



So, I want to know...

What is your favourite thing to do in the summer? Are you a total beach bum? Lake lifer? How do you like to stay cool? Popsicles, ice cream, good old fashioned AC?
Maybe you have a favourite memory from the summer time? I wanna hear about it!

I will go first!

As a kid, we would always go to the outdoor waterslide park in June at the end of the school year. We would stay all day until we were EXHAUSTED. There was this one slide that was super scary to me, it was really fast, had big drops and was in pitch black. I remember the year I turned 12, I was FINALLY brave enough to go down it by myself. So I did, and it was a blast! Once it was time to leave, we'd get a twist (chocolate and vanilla swirled) soft serve ice cream cone.

Its sooo good. Fresh mango... hit or miss, I find. You either like it or you don't.

yeah in my initial post i said i really like dried mango!! does it taste much different from fresh mango? all i rly know abt mangoes is they tend to be super expensive here ;_;

Oh shit I will actually be in Europe toward the end of summer for a short trip - I am hoping I can catch some of the seasonal summer stuff before it gets phased out for fall! Absolutely putting paddlepops on my list OwO

Anything else particularly summery and specific to Europe I should keep my eye out for? Will be toward the north in nordic countries!

Dried mangoes have a chewy texture as compared to fresh mangoes!

Oops, I missed that part.

I find they do taste different to an extent, but I think its mainly a texture thing for me? Fresh mango is not my favourite but I will eat it. But yeah, mangoes are also quiteeeee expensive here too so I can't say I get the chance to eat them often. I'll stick to the big bag of dried mango instead. Not a lot of fruits go here in the summer so options are limited for fresh stuff at a good price.

I couldn't think of how to describe it, but this sums it up well!

"Streets Golden Gaytime has a combination of toffee and vanilla flavoured ice cream, dipped in scrumptious choc coating and covered in delicious biscuit pieces."
The choc is actually really hard to taste, and in this case I think its a good thing cause the other flavours are so good The biscuit crumble is orgasmic and the best part!

Oh I love love love spicy fruits.
We do have spicy guava here too, which tastes sour and spicy because chilli and plums are added.
Not to mention papaya salad too. YUMS!
