The site's intellectual property and source code itself makes the most sense, which means if this company fails to turn a profit - or takes on a massive amount of debt to try and "improve" things before realizing they can't pay it and filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy - then it could all be over. I highly doubt that a new mobile whateverrrrrr is going to recoup 4 million dollars in investments, so I'd really love to see a detailed plan on how they are investing their loans to maximize profits.
Doomposting a little, here - I'm no economist. While I'm glad Neopets seems to have people at the helm who are enthusiastic about it, enthusiasm doesn't always guarantee longevity.
That being said, I'm hoping beyond hope for it to succeed. 💜
