meh. been diagnosing this acura tl and its coming around to being a transmission issue. solenoids all have been changed, pressure switches are good. hoping its either the torque converter or an internal valve body issue.

Lol maybe he means that the car wasn't starting,
i know the solenoid is a part of the starter that some people try to replace as it's cheaper than doing the whole starter.
but i may be completely wrong too!

Wel it has been a very quiet day.

Went out to get food at the local grocery buffet. on Sundays our local grocery offers a buffet that you buy and take home.
Then we went to check on my aunts that on holidays animals. I am really worried about her one cat. He is not doing so well, she has really neglected him. So I am giving some extra care

The rest of the day I really worked on updating my website for next year and doing some SEO improvements while also watching some Avatar

All in all not a bad day

i know the solenoid is a part of the starter that some people try to replace as it's cheaper than doing the whole starter.
but i may be completely wrong too!

nowadays new starters are pretty cheap, and you can also have them give you a core charge. ive never known of someone replacing a starter solenoid thats wild lol

so 2004-2012 hondas/acuras have some HOT GARBAGE transmissions. almost as bad as a nissan CVT- well similar tbh

anyways the solenoids that activate typically can go bad. so i had to use a 12v battery source to engage and disengage the solenoid to test them. think of a solenoid as a switch (technically it is one) when the ECU tells this transmission solenoid to operate open it will fill a certain area with transmission fluid and while shifting gears if this solenoid is either stuck open or not functioning the car will not shift properly.

whats going on is its saying stuck open. when in fact the solenoid works. so i think have a valve body issue or theres clog somewhere causing this. as my scan tool tells me the transmission and solenoid are properly engaging (firing)

(in other words my day was a F*****ing headache lol.)

Today I learned more about cars from this thread than I have ever known in my entire life before now.

Not great. Woke up and found out that the apartments never called someone in to shovel and salt the walkways, so the stairs leading up to our building are just pure ice. Nearly (nearly) busted my ass on the way to work.
