things you do at work that aren't bad, but you don't tell anyone

for example, if someone calls and asks a stupid question when the answer is right in front of them, i don't call them back.

like this one lady called and asked what e-mail she was supposed to send her documents to and the e-mail, address, and fax number of the place was RIGHT BELOW THE FUCKING SIGNATURE LINE SHE SIGNED.

safe to say she didn't get a call back.

When sometimes clients ask for a specific task for the day and then call back later saying that they would like the whole service. Like... We asked you if it would be everything for today. Why call back saying that now you are taking it. When it's almost time to go home.

Come on, some people have family / pets to see you know?

When someone ignores my email I send the same email again with slightly larger and larger font each time. Maybe a 2 or 3 day wait between sending and resending.

I had one two weeks ago that was pretty huge by the time the moron responded. I understand that sometimes you don't have an answer, things get delayed, or whatever. TELL ME. Apologize if you want, but just TELL ME WHATS UP. Don't just leave me on read.

For four years I digitized books. Sometimes we got brand new publisher books that had be recycled after they were done scanning. A lot of them were manga or Nasa calendars so I took some of them home.

Also, we had to chop the spines off on machines with huge blades so we can put them through the scanner. And because I'm a weakling, if I can't open a bag of chips or candy I chop the plastic off so I can get it open. It's lunch time so no one is there to see.

A few years ago I worked at a Subway and was responsible for baking the bread and cookies at roughly ~6am each morning. At noon, the manager always asked me start fresh batches of bread and cookies and to throw away any surplus from the morning. I always tried really hard to estimate how much we needed without the risk of running out, but inevitably there were days where we were unexpectedly slow and had enough bread to throw away to fill a large trash bag. I offered to personally donate it to a pantry after work but was told it was too risky. If our leftovers made anyone sick, the store would be liable. They also told me we weren't allowed to take any of it for ourselves without paying full price. So being a poor ass kid who often struggled to afford good food and was frustrated so much of it went to waste, I'd put some cookies and bread into a bag and stash it behind a storage rack to eat throughout the week.
I don't really know if that falls into the territory of "bad" or not though.

I'm a bartender (and sometimes bouncer at the same place), when there's a cute guy at the bar I sometimes give him booze from the house again and again to slowly make him drunk and then I start flirting/messing with his head. It's fun to see straight as a pin guys get really confused trying to find out if you're for real flirting or if it's just the booze gone to their heads. Bonus if they get shy and giggly. And as a bouncer I've denied some people access a few times just because they were assholes back at school. It's a small club/bar and I've worked there for a long time so they don't mind my antics.

I intentionally say "no problem" instead of "you're welcome" to people who look older than 60
