When you are selecting your team moves you should get a good idea if they fall into the banned moved based on the move descriptions.

Hope this helps. Any of the other ELite 4 members are more than welcome to add in as well.

Hey, I wanted to add some clarification on this.

The TLDR; is moves like Haze and Clear Smog are not banned for Gen 8 OU. The pages GWN linked just links the moves that effect the stat it's going over in general. In this case, Evasion.

The long winded explanation is - Haze lowers any active stat changes on the field. Meaning, it'll only lower things that have been raised or lowered, which is indicated by the green and red bars in Showdown that show your buff and debuffs. Since moves that can alter your evasion, like Agility, are banned here, that stat won't be lowered if the move Haze is used. More than likely, it'll remove a +2 attack or +1 speed on the opponent pokemon.

For testing, here's a Dragonite with just Haze. When validated, notice that no errors indicate he's illegal because of the move Haze. (Ignore the other two, they're also for testing purposes lol)

The only time something like Haze will be illegal is when you try to teach it to a pokemon who can't learn it. For example, if I tried to give it to my Shedninja, it'd be banned because that pokemon can't learn the move from leveling up, TMs, HMs, ect.

I didn't know if each elite four member was going to be making their own threads for the event? Or do we just DM the elite four members?

The first gym leader is live

To start your journey you will:

Challenge the first Elite Four member by clicking on their associated page link below. *These will be made active starting October 20th at the start of the event*
DM that gym leader to arrange a battle time and if you will be doing a best 2/3 match or a single battle. DO NOT post challenges in their thread, they are for replay purposes only.
Once your battle is completed post your Battle Replay on their associate Battle Page.
If you defeat the Elite Four member you move on to the next member and repeat the process. If you lose, you are done your clraik Indigo Plateau journey.
