The UC thing better NOT be:
-Gacha
-Too expensive
-A skin that could be applied and removed (they mentioned doing this before, which worries me)
-Makes the UC untradeable or adds a little mark or symbol to let people know it was created
-Some kind of "bundle" or capsule

I'm happy they are letting us create UCs soon and I hope they at least give us a freebie. Anyways, off to the PC with my popcorn!

Yes I agree, I really don't want them to make the obtainable UC's "different" from the rest of the UC's, it's going to create a bigger divide in pet trading

Somehow I'm not surprised that they are introducing UC's in the NC mall. I'm truly intrigued in how this is going to effect pet trading? Like will they be tradable? Are they going to have something to show that they are new UC's and will we be able to differentiate them from the older ones apart from age? I'm happy to hear that UC's are coming back though, I can finally get a UC RG Lupe!

Same. It's kind of like Neopets is finally getting a new game patch after literally forever. What's the new meta gonna be like?
Maybe older/aged UCs will become the new rarity. Or will the whole rarity thing just keplunk in general?
Neo needs to release more information LOL. Is it gonna be only limited colors released? some species?

Also, I read somewhere that they are eventually going to make all names available as well, don't know if that's confirmed O:

I don't know why, but this news makes me apprehensive Of course I am excited at the idea but this can really kill the economy if it's not implemented right! We'll have to wait and see.

If anybody was curious, the original UC announcement was on Mar 13 this year, so it's been about 2 months since. I expected longer until we heard about it again so at least it's moving quickly.

Right?! It all seems so vague right now. The idea of making pet names available again would be amazing too, hopefully they are considering in doing that :0

Huh am I the only one who didn’t correlate the mention of pet slots to being solely an NC Mall thing? When gutterfoot I think brought up pet slots I just figured it was a transition into the next topic and that new pet slots were on the horizon per usual, not that they were necessarily going to be a new addition to the NC Mall.

I'd be really surprised if NC mall created UCs can be traded for regular pets, usually NC mall items aren't allowed to be traded for regular NP currency stuff, except for a few one off card redemption items. But who knows what's up TNT's sleeve this time.

I'd just like to actually be able to SEE my UCs on their petlookups and customize them, but hopefully that's all in the works soon.

Wouldn't be surprised if this ends up like a gacha where you have to pay upwards of $10 for a "chance" at having your pet become unconverted. Would be interesting to see what the odds would be... I know other gacha mobile games like to have odds around 1% for super rare stuff...sometimes even lower. Should come w/ some sort of penalty (i.e. pet resets to basic colour if it doesn't become unconverted) so that paintbrushes get taken out of the economy because they're currently super deflated.

I doubt they will make it impossible to get, but if they do, I think all of the PCers currently desperately trading their pets away for RW/RN/4Ls are going to be super sad.

I’m thinking this is an unpopular opinion but I think the “least tilting” option, across the board, when it comes to reintroducing UCs is have them be no trade in some way (in the traditional sense).

Account bound NC item that “toggles” pet art?
NC zapified UC pets account bound like Lutaris until converted?

I feel like the current PC will only continue to thrive (and I mean yeah the PC is a shithole but it IS one of the most active parts on a _pet_ site, you know, where trading and obtaining pets you want is kind of the whole point) if grandfathered UCs are still the most wanted form of pets, for those who CARE. And I mean this by way of ppl who just want whatever UCs they’ve always wanted and the $ to do so can collect whatever no trade UCs their heart desires. But that way the traders who legitimately (why) enjoy trading and want to keep doing it can do so without throwing the biggest fucking hissy fit on the planet. Old UCs should still be traded as usual but those who just want UCs for themselves can (hopefully easily) just buy them from the mall and that’s that.

But lemme just throw true chaos mode into the mix... NC UCs can only be newly created pets. Now THAT would be a sight to see LOL.
