I hate the captchas in practice, but I love that there isn't a cache on petlookups anymore, so I guess I can deal. What I hate the most, though, is when it asks you to solve like 4-6 picture captchas in a row. If I got it right the first two times, why are you still asking me for more? Fuck off.

And don�t captchas just track mouse movement to see if you aren�t a robot anyway?? Like whether or not you travel in a completely straight line with your mouse? Unrelated but now I�m curious

Some do, but Neopets just has a straight captcha on one page vs. one on all of them that actually tries to determine if a user is a human or not. The latter takes a lot more effort than the former, so that's why they went with the easy route (for them).

I hate them too with a passion and the ones I really hate... are the ones where I click and the freaking clicked picture disappears or fades away. I will click on like 3 cars and each little square just disappears and says please click on the picture or something. I did and they just literally "fade" away... I feel like I am the only one this happens to.

No, that happens to me too occasionally. It's supposed to fade out and then fade in a new image and then once all the images with cars or fire hydrants or whatever are gone then you can submit it. The fade out takes like a full 10 seconds when I do that one on a VPN so it's the worst one, imo.

I feel like everytime I get them it starts off not too bad like once or twice then it tries to verify. By lookup number 10 it's having me do them 4-5 times before it verifies and half the time it bugs out or tells me I failed. It should work the opposite way.

I spent a lot of time making my lookup and decking out my pets. Forgive me for wanting to show that off. I also like looking at other people's pets/lookups and I can't stand the captchas. The traffic lights ones NEVER pass for me.

I've noticed lately sometimes even the captcha doesn't correctly identify things.

"Choose the crosswalks."

Click, click, click. Done.

"Please select all matching images."

Sees remaining six pictures are not crosswalks. Scrutinizes. Motherfucker, that's the median, not a crosswalk. You know what, fine.

I never had to solve a captcha inside Neopets (but then again, I don't really care to look at peoples infos). The ones I had outside though, yeah the people who program the captchas and "teach" the machines what is a traffic light, a hydrant or a crosswalk are doing it wrong. "Select the store front" ~ "select all store fronts" but that's a hospital, not a store, but fiiiine~ oh there was a bus on the reflection of the shop window and you expect me to see it with that image quality? Now that's just unnecessary trolling, fuck you.

Pretty sure they are programmed to show you images where at least one is valid to what you're supposed to click. And if not, then just hit submit to get verified.
