This gave me a thought- can you zap a pet that has styles enabled? What happens if it changes species while wearing one of the styles since they're species specific to apply?

My guess is it will go into the style closet thing. Hopefully! Haha

I'm already seeing people trying to trade for tokens of pre-existing UCs 1:1 for one of the purchasable options. This is what I keep saying. People are delusional if they think people are going to exchange their currently unobtainable combo tokens for what everyone else can buy in the Mall.

looking at their UCs and wondering whether to swap some tokens round between them to have the same UCs but in a more aesthetic name order or is that just me? My oldest ones could never change species but some of the others might be shapeshifting if I can afford the brushes etc to make their display colors match. I think I'm also going to downsize a little and just have pets that really mean something, which will ultimately be a good thing.

I'm too neurotic to ever change the styles around of my existing UCs, like I am going to just leave them be and do my best to pretend no change happened, but I definitely see the appeal in that.

I guess it'd work the same way if you had a baby pet with baby items on and it was zapped to a non-baby color\species.

Lore-wise I find it weird that a "nostalgic faerie kougra" will in-canon still be a "blue kougra" if its not painted correctly. I know its just a game but if a faerie kougra looks and walks like a faerie kougra... how is it not a faerie kougra?

Would prefer if they just said "____ the Nostalgic Faerie Kougra" instead!

This is actually something I am really excited for, though lol. Now I can have, ie a Faerie kougra with a UC Darigan Kougra look and is still called a faerie, which is awesome if the character was always supposed to be a dark faerie. I am brainstorming all the possibilities for the mis-matching color/uc style for the characters

Im a little confused over how it will work. So assuming I purchase the deluxe, it will be coloured based? So if I want faerie for eg. and I apply it to a xweetok then subsequently remove it, I can apply it to a aisha, it will be a NCUC faerie aisha? Or is it species specific?

It is Species + Color.
So if you want a guaranteed UC Faerie Aisha: You buy a Deluxe Styling Studio Supplies. You can then choose your Aisha and can choose a color: Faerie. You will then get a Nostalgic Faerie Aisha Style.
If you buy Styling Studio Supplies and choose your Aisha, the color will be random: Grey, Darigan or Faerie. You will again get a Nostalgic Aisha Style. You can not put this on a Xweetok, but on any other Aisha.
