from what bat said yes it could but it becomes less likely IIRC its also late af and im tired from doing some glitches on palworld lol.

That's currently the way it's coded to work. Being sick overrides the buddy waking behavior that would normally make a Ryugotchi capable of being cared for in it's owner's absence. Is that something that needs reconsidering?

I was thinking of it partially as a time-zone thing, making sure we don't lose any ryus due to the ryuvirus, but I'm curious what other people think as well, like @(you need an account to see links) . Also caring for them - I tend to take the night shift.

I think this makes it hard for people in less-popular timezones to receive care while sick (or give care to others), and at least one sick ryu (Menine's) has died due to unable to be cared for even though a lot of us have been keeping a keen eye.

Agreed, would love to be able to give care to friends' ryus who haven't been online for a bit and are on the doorstep of death
