I believe battle items fall under "Equipment" or "Misc" on the provided list of accepted items, I wouldn't worry too much about it! They probably wouldn't elect to leave off BD items in their general site cleanup.

The only thing that comes up when you google Moltara Obsidian Company is the aforementioned reddit post, unless it was referenced in that Moltara plot ages ago and I'm just not remembering. To be fair, all I remember from it are worms, haha.

I think it has to do with the new building in Moltara that popped up when they updated all the maps months (maybe years?) ago. With how the only thing that ever changes on Neopets is rare NP items cost more and more, while they devalue rare NC, I have been pretty checked out
