Welcome, @(you need an account to see links). Are you Aussie born, or by choice? I saw you mentioned when you were living in the states, which is why I ask. I'm an Aussie too, and my husband is a Yank, so our kids will have the battle at home over spelling (I'm not their "mom"!).
How'd you hear about our community?

    Thankyou!
I am in fact born here, but up until I was a late-teenager I moved around alot with my parents for their work.
Ah hahaha I can definitely relate- had one aussie and one canadian parent for most of my life so it was always hilarious when they butted heads over things! Pronouncing pistahchio vs pistaaaarchio and appricot vs apericot were my personal faves :')
I actually stumbled across ck with a google search as I was looking for a solid neo-community as well as
& despite coming majorly for the latter I think I'll probably stick around for the former.
Although, I am struggling quite a bit with bbcode and stuff, been a solid 10 or more years since I have used it!
But yeah thankyou again for the warm welcome, can't wait to start getting to know everyone

Those dogs are the most adorable thing I have seen today. I should grab some cat pictures for you.

edit: Here you go, (you need an account to see links) and one of how these dorks normally look.

The grey lynx-looking cat is Minda, the fat Siamese looking one is Majora, named after the Zelda game. I might have misspelt 'Midna' from Zelda Twilight Princess on the forms, so my cat's name is forever spelt the wrong way. Sorry baby.

Both seem to be the same age and were left in a single carrier outside the shelter, so we call them sisters dispite looking different. Majora has a horrible tendency to steal every plastic wrapper in the house to chew on because it crinkles, and crawls under the blankets to cuddle people. Minda likes to jump on my shoulder while doing dishes (ow) and chew on qtips, and sit guarding doorways of any room people are in. Both of them are adorable.
