How are the "Nostalgic Styles" (NCUCs) affecting the trading economy?

I haven't been on the PC since the NCUCs dropped, and I'd much rather hear from cheaters who can view it from the perspective of both regular trading and buying/selling pets. Where is the economy going right now? Where will it go from here? How will this affect things that aren't just tokens, like RW/RN, 4L, Y1, BD, etc.? What have tokens been trading, and will the value stabilize?

There probably aren't easy answers to any of this yet, but I'm curious to see people's opinions.

I'm sure that the value of RN/RWs will skyrocket and become king (possibly VWNed BD pets, too). I would wager that having an "OG" UC pet with the trophy will also be worth something since it's a bit more of a status item, but I would imagine that they won't trade anywhere near what their value was pre-style studio.

To me, this is going to add another element to NC trading which I don't necessarily mind. I also feel like that is relatively unstable and will be for a few weeks, but I don't see this taking too long to taper off since the price is pretty much set in stone.

I know I don't have anything too deep to offer, but those are my thoughts.

the bussiness to my opinion is going to be to trade the ites like this example "Nostalgic Grey Draik" or the value will change for the pets that have the OG trophie, well that's my opinion from this new era of neopets style studio

Personally, I'm not thrilled with the way that this makes trading nearly inaccessible to a lot of people. If things don't stabilize in some way so non-paying users can trade to valuable pets, then that means this is just another P2P part of the site and it really hurts me as someone who has legit trade chains that started with okay converteds.

Sure, *I* can buy tokens or pets, but not everyone wants to/can afford to.

It probably hasn't stabilized enough yet. I'm sure people will come up with some values, and then those values will completely change once certain ones retire/come back to the studio.

It is safe to say NC UC are considered NC and wont trade for RN / RW based on the TNT rules. SO the ones with the trophy will likely be viewed higher, same with RWs / RNs / BDs and I've already seen that someone traded 5 Deluxe Stylings for a plushie lupe thingy. Could have waited and just used that one Deluxe styling but hey what do I know?

when it comes to tokens themselves, people are offering tokens that arent available yet and seeking them. people have been offering piles of deluxe styling studios for tokens you cant currently get, especially for stuff like royals. i saw boards where people said they saw people seeking or offering 20 styling studios for royal tokens (but didnt see those offers myself yet)

as for most of the other tokens, for all the ones available seems like people are just trading 1:1

no idea on names and BDs and stuff, you cant trade NC for Pets so thats just separate now (on site anyway)

But
The old process of trading for UCs legitimately thru the PC has always been labor-intensive (so to speak) if you consider how many months/years it would take for people to get their desired UCs

Now instead of spending those hours on Neo, they can work extra at their job or something. TNT wants folks to pay with $ instead of hours of their time like before

It's a different type of inaccessibility imo

I did exactly that!
I wanted to trade my UC Plush Shoy for a UC Plush Zaffy.
Someone bid 6-8 Deluxe Studios and sure I accepted on the spot!
People are nuts right now, just have patience and wait, lol!

I tend to agree more with this point even though I get your side too @(you need an account to see links)
Personally I don't see a ton of difference in the effort it took to trade up to a VWN T10 UC and a good decent RW through legitimate means but then again I haven't been to the PC in ages so I could be completely wrong.
