I'd say to open only if you've got multiple of them, I opened 3 and got 2 of the pbs. Otherwise they are just too pretty to open.

I'm still very curious what background they meant. I managed to get *a* background from my bags but it's only around 400k right now? No paint brushes either, sadly, but I'd have just hoarded them anyway.

Hey guys, tagging everyone to answer the question, the formerly worth 200m+ bg is the Haunted Woods background

as you can see on jellyneo page it was without price since the release and 2007 and it was released via code giveaway and used to test in the beta stage of customization, so it was super duper rare. Other bgs that were released on that date and are equally as rare as this one used to be are: (you need an account to see links).

And as can be seen, only one of this to ever show up in the trades database of jn was the haunted one a year ago reserved for a specific user other than today.
The other jn has record of the meridell one being asked 300m and the others dont even have a record.

Think I'm just going to hoard, I bought a couple to open for fun, but didn't get anything worthwhile. I kind of like the idea of re-releasing some very old/extinct items in goodie bags. Brings things into circulation.

indeed it isnt, it was just priced according to rarity and time of release, but it's really nostalgic the drawing style and that's what i like about those batch of bgs

Potentially unpopular opinion but I don't like just re-releasing super rare items and tanking their value. I know it happened with a stamp recently as well.

I understand your pov but specially items like this are so rare and the ones that actually have them and still play, it’s unlikely it’s someone not wealthy enough to actually miss the ‘investment’, and specially with the stamps that give avatar i think a re-release is super necessary, but sts is already close to the price point it was before, just a bit easier to find, so the lenny connumdrum even though was a shitshow both on tnt giving them and how users got multiples, it was still healthy for the economy imo
