It's Summertime!

It's finally summer time!
(at least for those of us in the northern hemisphere!)



So, I want to know...

What is your favourite thing to do in the summer? Are you a total beach bum? Lake lifer? How do you like to stay cool? Popsicles, ice cream, good old fashioned AC?
Maybe you have a favourite memory from the summer time? I wanna hear about it!

I will go first!

As a kid, we would always go to the outdoor waterslide park in June at the end of the school year. We would stay all day until we were EXHAUSTED. There was this one slide that was super scary to me, it was really fast, had big drops and was in pitch black. I remember the year I turned 12, I was FINALLY brave enough to go down it by myself. So I did, and it was a blast! Once it was time to leave, we'd get a twist (chocolate and vanilla swirled) soft serve ice cream cone.

Since we are all on the topic of gardening I thought I would share our latest zucchini! This this is MASSIVE and here is me holding it!

My parents grow cucumbers in their backyard and some almost as large as this! They keep unloading cucumbers onto me because they can't eat them all, it's hilarious.

One day I'll have a garden but today is not the day!

Ive always wanted to have a garden though. Especially to grow Watermelon and Pumpkins!

Guys guys guys! We went strawberry picking today. It was a bit of a scorcher, but it was such a nice day. Ended up picking about three boxes worth of berries.

I'm debating on how many of them to use for jam and how many to use for strawberry related treats for tomorrow. My gut thought is use at least 1 box for jam, 1 box for cobblers, and possibly 1 box for smoothies this week.

I’m starting to feel like I jinxed the nice summer weather. It has rained almost every day for at least a week now, if not more.

It’s making the mosquitos go WILD. Does anyone have good tips for keeping bugs away from you when you’re outside?

For me, its actually Shrek and Kung Fu Panda lol
I can watch them anytime, but those two movies are ones I LOVE to watch during the summer. It might be because I would watch them often with my younger brother since he was on Summer vacation.

...oh, I guess Pikachu's Vacation being included as the mini-movie before the main showing helps a bit too, hee.

Plus, i love watching slice-of-life animes during summer, because theres always an episode in the Beach, a Christmas ep and a New year. All tese holidays happens in summer here, so it usually matches the season when im watching ^^

OMG! My very first movie I ever paid for by myself I took me and my cousin in the summer to watch the Pokémon movie! Wow what a trip down memory lane. I feel like it wasn’t the first one, though since it came out in November.. unless it was in theatres for like 6-7 months.
