It's Summertime!

It's finally summer time!
(at least for those of us in the northern hemisphere!)



So, I want to know...

What is your favourite thing to do in the summer? Are you a total beach bum? Lake lifer? How do you like to stay cool? Popsicles, ice cream, good old fashioned AC?
Maybe you have a favourite memory from the summer time? I wanna hear about it!

I will go first!

As a kid, we would always go to the outdoor waterslide park in June at the end of the school year. We would stay all day until we were EXHAUSTED. There was this one slide that was super scary to me, it was really fast, had big drops and was in pitch black. I remember the year I turned 12, I was FINALLY brave enough to go down it by myself. So I did, and it was a blast! Once it was time to leave, we'd get a twist (chocolate and vanilla swirled) soft serve ice cream cone.

Finally able to share my summer with you guys!
as you may now I'm from latin america which means i live in a constant summer (yeah, even when we are on winter the wheater is hot on mornings)

here on my country we have a lot of things to enjoy on that sunny and hot days and i will share some with you!

first heres a pic of a "granizada" which you may recognise as a slushie? Im not quite sure, however we have many variations, some with spicy, lemon, soy sauce, we have the sweet ones with pinneaple, tamarindo syrups and whatnot
granizadas are very tasty and you can get one for 1$ (or less)

and i saw everyone sharing popsicles so... here, we have these

which are traditional ice-cream that you can get for less than .50$ and they are very, very tasty *-*

and well, past weekend I went to a local natural reserve where there is a cascade and you can swim on it called "Los chorros de pepe milla"´

place was really beautiful and tbh helps a lot with the constant 30-40°C degrees hot wheater I live on.

Those treats looks divine!! I'm super jealous of them, they look so good.

It's funny that we have a lot of volcanos (37 in total) but i'll guess you talking about Volcan de Fuego which i think is the most famous haha

I'm from a small town in mexico that is part of the pacific rim of fire too. We have 2 active volcanos and one inactive, but you can only hike the innactive one

I haven’t done a lot of hiking but there’s one place over here we’re you can go rappelling and I’ve been meaning to try it out! They have like a newbies course that sounds neat!

@(you need an account to see links) oh yeah I definitely just distinguish them by color too xD but I tend to not stray from my favorites anyway, either earl grey or english breakfast for black and ceylon/thai for red xD thai ice tea is just... yeah liquid crack. My uni had a food truck that sold noodles, dumplings, and thai ice tea and well that's just where all my money went.
