If you are planning to do really heavy scoresending and/or playing on multiple accounts to protect your personal main account (which you are most likely playing on your home IP) you should be using a VPN/proxy! If you are just participating on one account (your personal main) and playing legit or "realistically" with scoresending you should be fine.
