I just panic bought a card and redeemed it, and then remembered I don't really spend NC.

This is such an anti-consumer move. I hope the profits they're going to be getting go towards getting more devs to translate their site over to HTML5 because I seriously do not see the fruits of their NC cash grabbing as of now.

I'm going to redeem my last 2 cards this week to let them rot if I ever see an item I ABSO-FUCKING-LUTELY have to get.

This is the worst move Neopets could have ever made with Neocash.
It costs them nothing to leave it how it was.
Now they're going to lose a bunch of income because half the site won't be buying NC anymore

I love NC, and I have so many friends in the Brazilian neo community that I dress up my pets with and buy cards from. It really has been such a unique and great group of folks- everyone I've had the pleasure of interacting with has been absolutely lovely.

This always felt like it was doomed to happen. The secret got too big to stay under the rug. But with current real world events going on, I can't help but worry about everyone I've supported moving forward. Sure, maybe TNT will take away that they should lower prices in the mall, maybe the NC trading market will stabilize without custom being so inflated, but does that matter comparatively?

Thank you to all the sellers-- you guys have been great. TNT, well. I get why it had to happen, but now, really? Good luck.

The only reason I buy near as much NC as I do is because I feel the $10 for 2000 NC is a reasonable (sort of) value. Fuck it, my closet is stacked enough as it is. I'm stocking up now and will just be much, much, much more stringent with my purchases/pay cash to sellers here directly going forward.

I actually started participating in NC events because I could afford to buy NC now and have some left over for the NC cookies. Now I'll buy a few more before the 9th and just not buy NC any more too.

For my account, I didn't buy NC before this method, so I'm more than accustomed to also not purchasing NC anymore again. I'll jusy buy the individual items from here.
