I have a theory that it had something to do with the increase in price limits in user shops from 99,999 NP to 999,999 NP. It seems to have caused wild fluctuations in item values as players race to undercut one another.
It's been quite a few years since i've restocked but there's so little that makes you a good amount of profit now. When did this happen?
Just comparing it to years ago. Kind of disappointing really.

Trudys Surprise basically gives out 500k a month for doing nothing so that could also be a reason. ^ The increase in price limits in shops have decimated the prices on most items that people generally restock like mp's because everybody just undercuts each other. A lot of people got rich of Charity Corner as well.
There’s no theory needed here, I used to spend 200-400k a day CLEARING shops so I could make stuff stock in shops that stayed full 24/7 -
Now shops empty 8 times an hour. They don’t restock 8 times an hour, they literally empty to 0 items. It used to be only empty spots would restock - so a typical restock might be 4 or 5 items on average at a fuller inventory shop.
Anyway - that means r99s in some shops went from maybe one or two a week to, in some shops, several a day
No demand because almost no one plays.
Only high demand items that the same 5-7 ppl active people can afford r worth it
shop price limit increase
charity corner
shops clearing

No idea, I haven’t.
I see 200 people have seen this thread and there aren’t even 20 posts.
I’m not shitting on anything but realistically idk how anyone can look at the game and say this is fine. Games in general like real games not neo, have thousands of players that engage with it.
If you want to talk about forums, look at other niche forums like Resetera or Neogaf.
They’re way more active than here and people have regular conversations.
Not trying to come at this site or anything the wrong way man cause it’s fine for me to check in on both neo and ck for fun but facts are facts lol.
edit: Just want to clarify obviously there was some hyperbole when I said 5-7 people. No idea how closely you follow the game but it’s been the same several dozen or so people buying and trading the items people actually want
Atleast whenever I have seen it.
Shit is depressing for me to look at because that was the fun part of the site for me. Several dozen might even be a generous amount lol.
+Logging in and actual engagement are two different things.
Anyone can log into something, but are they interacting with the site?
This applies to this forum and Neopets and any game.
If people aren’t actually engaging then why does it matter how many are logging in.
Games rely on engagement and forums rely on the users to do more than just lurk but actually interact with eachother.
Again, not trying to disrespect anything.
Just saying the activity is low on Neopets and continues to worsen

Neopets is dying for many reasons, lack of players, lack of demand for items.
Maybe with all the fixes they are planning it will help but I personally doubt it.
Player base has decreased dramatically. Just have a look at the boards, the same threads will be on the 1st page for a week or longer. Back then if you didn't bump your thread at least every 30mins it would be on page 4 or 5.
