Have you tries osrs?
It's like an old reboot server of the 2007 version of the game, but with some nice (but still nostalgic) improvements.
I think it's bigger than RS3 at this point.

I was never really into OSRS, mostly cos I played Runescape for the plot and characters. OSRS has very different lore and whatnot, whereas I loved the newer stuff they introduced up until they hit the huge reset button on the Sixth Age. And don't get me started on what they did to Azzanadra and Wahisietel's friendship over the course of said Sixth Age...

I haven't played RS3, I thought that when you mentioned the new stuff you were talking about the evolution of combat haha
I'll have to look into this lore though, I've always loved the storylines that they come up with

Oh nah, I'm TERRIBLE at PvM. I loved questing and stories and the characters, and skilling. But I couldn't PvM to save my life (I died to the easiest boss aka King Black Dragon several times).

You just reminded me that I'm still waiting for my custom-ordered Runescape figurines to arrive. Ordering them from an Etsy seller, and the first one is ready after 6 months lmao Should be reaching me soon since they mailed it out last week.

They do good work, but it's slow cos of how detailed it is, so it'll probably be another 6 months before I get the next one (I'm commissioning 4 in total)
