Curious if I can get the Nostalgic Faerie Xweetok Style for 300NC
You choose a species and the color is random, but it can only be Faerie, Darigan or Grey at the beginning, and the Xwee only has a Faerie UC.

Interesting. By how the FAQ read though for example I get grey for my krawk randomly but want to roll again with a new token and get darigan then I should be able to move that grey style over to any other.pet that supports that style. Unless they are really dirty and keep the rng unlock to species specific.

I think it is species specific, they said that again and again.
In your example it would be a Nostalgic Grey Krawk Style and a Nostalgic Darigan Krawk Style. But both are tradeable.

Hmmm that makes things more tricky. I may have to take advantage of the 50% off sale then for my other species and I have a few of the same species that I want to UC

I can see paint brushes spiking in price so that on pet pages/lookups the pet colour will match their style.

I was thinking the opposite since pbs aren’t needed at all to paint pets anymore if you want “UC”s. Just buy the token and slap it on your green uni - now it can appear like a nice UC Royal.

I wasn't really concerned but it's good they're being communicative (even if it still should be happening on site somewhere).

Also, purely out of curiosity, I'd like to know how this works in coding and rollout. Is it like "if pet image is ______ then receive _____ Styling Studio Supplies as equipped? If someone has dev experience and has an educated guess, I'm curious!

Web design is not the area of programming that I'm familiar with but I'd imagine it's just a binary/boolean associated with the colour/art of the pet e.g. 0/1 T/F for converted/UC. They'll probably run a script to assign every pet identified as UC in this way a token, and then apply it to the pet.

But again, not in web design.

I believe I read they will be auto-equipped so you would be receiving the exact colour/species item as the pet was before.

I feel like anyone with dev experience will say that a lot of TNT decision making do not make sense and can only say that neopets must be written in such horrible spaghetti code that they had to make those decisions to get anything to work.

But yea, a list of all pets with a "if pet is UC (which should be a very simple bool variable ??), give item" seems very straight forward, right? ...I only make apps and it's been over a decade since I did any web work though.

In pound chat, lots of posts of people taking screenshots of their UC pets because they believe TNT is going to mess this up
