Neopets now has Ambassadors

I have never, ever seen a game introduce community ambassadors who weren't an insular clique of hive-minded weirdos.

I don't think they made all the choices with concrete basis, they just took people who have some "influence" to make the community stay quiet and stop bothering them. And that bothers me.

As for the names I know, only Sosu seems to be really worthy of being there.

This is actually what they did haha. The user in charge of community concerns isn't too known on the actual site itself, they're more so known more offsite, specifically, facebook.

I would love to see any of those talking heads actually do something to put their communities in line. Their chronic failure to keep the peace is why the Neopets team feels the need to have ambassadors in the first place.

edit: i dont know the artists chosen for the community but from the looks of it they seem really passionate so my opinion is def changed, good luck to them! ..but also good luck to the ambassators who have to relay broken parts of the website cause they are gonna have their hands full

More fluff to pad their plausible deniability when shit goes wrong and they don't want to fix it. I get that this is supposed to "help" the community but I don't get that feeling? Also, RIP games and site events I guess? I don't see how he will make those sections any better. Sorry for the negativity, these are just the thoughts I got when reading all of this. Hope Neopets survives.
