They are most likely trained to make a vast majority of the non-NC items to look like absolute crap. for wearables it pushes the customer more towards buying neocash because there isn't any good earnable through nps alternatives

I completely get why they wouldn't be so bothered about how things that aren't NC related look, but at the same time they should also be a bit more concerned about sorting it out, as it's not the NC features of the site that tends to bring people back/want to join neo (but lets face it, hardly anyone new joins anymore) and they ren't going to want to join if they see shitty items like that
