It's in the works. There are a ton of good guides and anything I'm good at is niche and no one cares except huge dorks. But I don't mind. It's not a race, it's a journey.

Speaking of rep as I am still entirely confused how it works. Is the ONLY way to get it through people click the star rep button and is that the ONLY way to get yourself into official and top clraiK? It feels like people who actually +rep or even know it exists are FAR and few between.

that's the only way indeed and quality contributions sure do get repped more than enough.
with the addition of the kudos tag you can also receive it for a post you did not make yourself but helped out with in one way or the other when the person making the post uses that tag to include you in the post.

just contribute in a meaningful way to the (you need an account to see links) and also listen to/interact with people that have the userbar on their stack.
it's not completely clear how to unlock it so you can only just keep trying while doing those two things i'm afraid.

The more people rep, the more people will know it exists!! Make sure you are giving it and making contributions, and you will earn it fairly easily
