I don't know if this is stupid to ask, but does this mean that th e hacker also has access to all information that has ever been used before? So like the original e-mail address an account was created on (that differs from the current one attached to that account) or passwords that were used in the past?

It does. Given how TNT always give the account back to the og email, it is more important to secure your og email accounts with 2FA and a different password than you've ever used on Neopets.com than constantly changing your Neopets password. Doing both is the safest route.

And c'mon TNT. Is it that hard to contain admin access to specific IPs?

And I think the seller is neo_truths. He originally wanted to take a cut of the site that was genning UCs when he found out how, and when they said no, he publicly called them out instead of making his own. Then he wanted TNT to pay him for his "work." I guess he got bored of pretending to be a crusader and is trying to make a quick buck

I would not be surprised in the slightest if it was neo_truths. If people still praise him after this fiasco there is no helping them at this point. They are too far gone 😔

It's unlikely that you'll actually be affected. Definitely change everything as soon as you can, but the chances of you getting screwed are pretty low.

they have live access anyway so changing pw on retail neopets wouldn't really matter. if anything if u share pws with your neo login and other sites, you should change it on other sites.
