Ok so the designs bug the crap out of me. I spent a few minutes doing a little redesigning:

They're not perfect but I tried to keep the spirit of the characters with the original color pallet. Right off the bat you know what they are and even though stylized, they don't look like knockoffs. I wanted to do all the petpets but those bothered me the most. The designs they made aren't terrible but they lack that appeal and since they're most likely making a reskinned match 3 they might as well make it try and stand out a little, otherwise it's gonna blend in with the rest of them.

None of the icon sets really represent the associated petpets

Angelpuss has no discernible muzzle, and a wider mouth. Poppits eyes are meant to quite literally pop out of their heads. no Greeble has eyes that match their body shade. Hasses have beadier eyes. Darblat's are aight but the cheek shading throws me off.

AND CYODRAKES HAVE ONE EYE HOLY FUCKING MOTHER CUCKING SHIT HOW DO YOU MESS THAT UP THAT BADLY

anyways, they should have used more iconic petpets for an offside game. Snowickle/Candychan over Darblat, throw a Meepit in somewhere, etc.

My petpet choices would be: Slorg, Rock, Meepit, Kadoatie, Candychan or Ona, or perhaps Spyder for variation.

And the Spyder fits easily in terms of brand recognition so I agree with that too
