Yes if you turn off evos whenever you activate again it will trigger an action if at least you completed the 20 days period: Either evolving or branching to another species.

Silly question - do you have babystting off and thats why your ryu has no controls showing?
When I disable babysitting my ryu still shows up as having controls

It will have controls for you but not for other users

Yup, I have babysitting turned off! When it's turned off, controls will show for you (so that you can take care of your Ryu), but not for others.
