Oh, there are so many ways. Just by learning from TNT's dumb asses sometimes is enough to make a good safe game site.
But discussion of ideas that may help prevent bots in most, if not all ways publicly is probably not a good idea!
Y'know how it takes a criminal to catch a criminal? From all that we've learned by coding bots for sites like neopets, marapets, subeta, flight rising etc, what could be done to make a virtual petsite that's extremely difficult to hack/bot?
Being able to spoof headers (Origin and Referer) are a major part of what make our programs possible.
I've been thinking on and off for days, but I can't come up with a way to make the browser do something to indicate authenticity that is unspoofable.
Do you guys have any ideas?

Kind of one of those things you don't post on the above-ground boards about But, the same as the above posters said, TNT is fucking stupid. They code lazily, and they don't seem to actually give a fuck about stopping the problem at its source. I'm sure there are several methods to do exactly what you're saying (not saying anything on open-thread, of course!), but TNT won't do them.
Be sure you put your feet in the right place, then stand firm.
