Sorry - I don't mean to brag about it or anything - a lot of folks have the database details and the administrative manuals they wrote for them. That horrible ID system they build has been haunting them for the lifetime of the site, and with all of the accidental downtime we're enjoying right now, it feels like as good a time as any to rip the bandaid off and give the people the rename option. They keep treating that change like a nebulous and difficult one to make, but they said the same thing about unconverting pets while they sat on an "unconvert" button for years. They're lying, and while I'll grant them that they don't have the manpower, it's not an especially difficult task.

My guess is it’s going to be a “ray” that’s set to a specific color for a period of time (first one sounds like will be faerie) and you insert the token to UC your pet that specific color only. I guess this would make colors still kind of exclusive, at least until they repeat again

Making the UC ray only grant UC colors for a specific time or at specific times does aid in their earliest comments about finding a way to do it while retaining the value of UCs as a whole.

Frankly, I responded positively to the notion of doing this versus a PB as soon as the graphic displayed. It makes a lot of sense. I can’t wait to have my precious UC Faerie Bori.
