Tbh I wouldn't even call it piracy. If anything they are copying the code because they didn't MAKE the code, they're just copying coding and structuring it in their own way.

But it's like how there was one person to first make the sandwich. That doesn't mean they own sandwiches. It can be done hundreds of ways. No one can claim it. Like, yeah sure okay John Montagu, 4th Earl of Sandwich invented the sandwich according to google, but it's not illegal or theft or copying or piracy or whatever for anyone else to make a sandwich?? (don't know if that was a good example lol)

Oooh these people. I used to be very close with the owners of Silent Serenity. The daughter (Fly) is very nice, but the mother (Simple) is fucking crazy. I quit her guild a long time ago and she flipped the fuck out and sent me harassing neomails. She can't grammar (lol) and flies off the handle very easily. I'm not surprised.

I see Silent Serenity layouts EVERYWHERE. Reading /~Tines makes me eyeroll so hard.
Stop using Silent Serenity and order a bomb custom layout from one of our own CK members instead.

Simple code ideas, I definitely don't think you should be "claiming ownership of".

I've made some pretty unique codes though. (Complicated manipulation of the existing aspects of the site), I'd be pretty salty if one was stolen.

I'm assuming one will be stolen shortly as it's pretty epic. Waiting for premade sites to copy it tbh.
I've never seen it anywhere else before.

Silent Serenity layouts aren't even pretty. The text is clumped, the layouts are awkward, and they're just...nothing special. I tried using their layouts so many times because I thought "They're popular so they must be good". No. No every time.

I used to use Silent Serenity coding as a base and heavily modify it because I wasn't knowledgeable enough to code from scratch. The layouts are crap, the font sizes and text arrangement are trash, and a lot of times they aren't even easy to navigate.

So yeah, I don't recommend them in the first place, but especially not after this.

Didn't know about any of this with SS. That's disappointing and quite pretentious, I was aware they didn't get along with the owner of Whitespace, but wow... They have left the site anyway, right?

You can't steal basic coding terms, SS is being silly with that. But you can definitely rip off initiative. mexxyy is really talented and a great person to boot, it's a shame to see her skill get copied without thanks or kudos.
