Story time: went into a pet store to buy food for the other pigs and walked by the guinea pig display on the way out... it was a (small) fish tank with improper ventilation and too many pigs. I asked an employee to let me hold one, he handed this little girl to me, and then whispered that I should just take her because the store was a shitty place for animals.
I left the store with one more guinea pig than I had come in with. (oops)
I have named her Loki.
I haven't got a functioning mobile at the moment, so I can't post pictures (yet), but she's a little tricolor bread loaf shaped animal and I love her more than words can say.
I already have two guinea pigs, who she'll be going to live with eventually, but right now she kind of lives in my bathtub. And sometimes at the foot of my bed, depending.

Reason: adding a photo!
Unfortunately the pet store will most likely just replace her with another poor guinea pig soul. There is a pet shop near me that similarly neglects their pets; really pisses me off on the rare occasion that I go in there. :/
she's the cutest thing ever. <3 I didn't know that pets like guinea pigs could sleep with you, I always assumed that if you didn't put them back in their cages they'd wander off and go missing if unsupervised. :o
