This year, team sign-ups and the practice has started on Monday, May 25th. The practice round will last until June 2nd and the team sign-ups will end on June 4th. The practice session is then followed by a 26 day tournament schedule that runs from June 2nd until June 27th.

I believe the confusion comes from the most recent news post, where it sounds like the games start tomorrow.
Not sure if the page being linked is out of date from last year or if the news is wrong or if people are just misunderstanding it. It's TNT so who knows!
